Pinterest, the hottest tech startup of 2012 is also the first website ever to hit the 10 million monthly visitors in such a short period of time. Besides that, Pinterest is still using an invitation only registration system which has managed to gather over 5 million active users and become one of the leading traffic sources for many important websites.
Considering this amazing success of Pinterest among image bookmarking websites, it is only obvious that people are interested in building a website with similar functions. That’s why I tought it would be a good idea to give you some tips on how to do this properly even if you don’t have any programming knowledge at all.
I’m not saying you should start plagiarize Pinterest or similar websites, but approach a image bookmarking system. These tools, themes and mods will help you start this in a nice manner.

Awesome! The Evolutive2 Theme looks really promising. I was looking for some CMS solutions, but it seems like Drupal and Joomla are still the ones helping me. WordPress is not bad also, but is what we expected. I’m also mad because the guys at Cogzidel haven’t even tried to publish an online demo of the script, but the preview picture looks very good.Thanks!

Shaken and stirred is very easy for a beginner. Also themify has launched a decent wordpress theme. we have our own clone, but it is purely php based as wordpress theme don’t have the capacity to build boards yet. (wish i knew how to make a plug in like that)
