Besides Panda algorithm update, Google Labs has spend some time doing research on optimizing websites loading speed. Now Google is planning to extend their research and check out how mobile friendly your mobile devices is.

GoMo (Go Mobile) is the name of latest Google innovation which plans to make the mobile web surfing a more pleasant and accessible by all means. Even though mobile devices users can access desktop-optimized sites in a good manner, you can make it even better and faster for that matter by using plugins or tools to minify the website.

Why should I optimize my website for mobile devices?

First, we live in a time when mobile devices have an enormous importance in everyone’s life and many visitors come from such devices. Of course, you can work with the heavy design full with tons of extensions but keep in mind that most visitors may not like it and make sure the second time will not come to your site.

Is your website mobile friendly?

Since Google has started this project as an initiative to promote better web surfing from mobile and it is addressed to website owners, I guess is just fair to be curious how mobile friendly your website is!
