Google+ expansion continues after the popular social media website announced the launch of +1 button for image search today. There have been only a few months since the plus 1 button was released, but Google has not missed any time at all and added the button in AdSense ads, web pages and even in the search results not long ago.

Google Experts say that this was a vital step in Google+ expansion and that is also a good move for getting better search results on images. One of Google‘s engineers, Xiaorui Gan talks about the new feature:

“Let’s say you’re looking to summit Mount Kilimanjaro and want to inspire a few of your climbing buddies to join you. You search for [mount kilimanjaro summit] and switch to Images mode to find rows and rows of photos testifying that this peak can indeed be conquered. By hovering over one of the images, you can quickly recommend this photo to your friends by clicking the +1 button.”

As we got used to, the button is located in a very nice addition to content without disturbing the user and also making it’s presence felt. In image search, the button appears underneath the picture whenever someone tries to get the mouse over the pic.
